In the toddler class or play group, children from 18 months to 2 years are grouped together to develop basic skills and familiarize themselves with the rudiments of all areas of the Montessori curriculum. This is achieved through the prepared environment designed for the age group. Activities and materials like picture books that boost the development of language and good reading skills are provided for the children. Emphasis is on social development, character formation, developing discipline and building a healthy and strong self-image. Music, dance and nursery rhymes constitute an integral part of the programme. The children also have free access to varieties of puzzles which research has shown to be very good for brain development.

At HarryField Montessori School we commence education proper for the child. We focus on games, fun activities and pictorial form of learning. We develop the social skills in the child by allowing the child interact with other children his or her age group and build that social confidence and skill. As the child begins to form words and speak, we also assist the child in sounding basic words, singing basic rhymes and poems that will improve the childs ability to communicate with teachers and fellow students alike.

We also at this age study behavioral patterns, likes and dislikes, attitude and try to mold the best character while in full partnership with the parents of the child. Do you have a son or daughter or ward under this age group then there is no time to hesitate. We invite you to pay us a visit or give us a call and let your child be admitted into our esteemed school.
